During the final workshop that will be developed in July, our team, together with the Municipality, will identify and discuss a catalog of potential strategies to be implemented. One relevant aspect will be the prioritization of the strategies that will be developed considering different criteria such as: feasibility, potential impact, cost, political consensus, etc.
The representatives of the Municipality involved in this workshop will be the same that have been previously involved during the project. Their knowledge about the actual impact of the UHI phenomenon on the city will be a key element that will support the validation of our results.
The methodology developed and results that will be obtained during this last phase will enhance the potential of the method applied and its easy replicability in other European cities affected by UHI.”
